1. 2012 has been a great year of new additions to Grooveshark and EMG. We introduced the world to Beluga, our new music insights platform, we are gearing up for a site redesign once again, and now we’re officially welcoming 10 amazing new labels into the Grooveshark family. These label partnerships are not only going to provide the 20 million users in the Grooveshark community with access to original new catalogs of music, but also allows these new labels to join the rest of the companies receiving streaming royalties from our service.

  2. Hey all! We’re making big moves over here to position ourselves as pioneers of the music industry. Namely, we’ve inked licensing deals with with several indie labels to bring you guys more music and increase exposure for artists.

We announced our partnership with Rocket Science last week, but since then we’ve added labels such as Vagrant Records, BFM Digital, Dualtone andThirty Tigers to our roster of affiliates.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have formed these important new partnerships. These innovative labels and distributors have a clear vision of how they will generate exposure and revenue for their artists as our industry continues to evolve. It’s an exciting opportunity to be able to work with these partners to break new artists, and help form meaningful relationships between fans and the artists that create the music they love so much," explains Aaron Ford, Grooveshark’s VP of Label Relations.
