1. #GroovesharkPresents Greenhouse Lounge: “Release”

Check out this #GroovesharkPresents music video collaboration with Greenhouse Lounge featuring their new track, “Release.”

Greenhouse Lounge is an electronic musical trio that combines the computer based production of a DJ, accompanied by rock guitar leads, heavy synthesized bass and live drums. They are adept at merging these rumbling dub basslines with pumping electronica beats, breakbeat dynamics and staggering sample manipulation. Their music can be described as euphoric; a hypnotic based sound; tightly woven sonic soundscapes that are rich in melody and texture.

Stay tuned for the launch of their new EP, “The Other Side,” coming to you exclusively on Grooveshark, September 2nd. Listen to Greenhouse lounge now on Grooveshark.

  8. Music Spotlight - “Non-Traditional Folk Songs” by Trail Magic
In this week’s Music Spotlight, we’re featuring “Non-Traditional Folk Songs,” a concept album from Nashville-based Trail Magic. Each song on the album is part of a single journey as the record attempts to transport the listener through a full range of emotional settings and musical plot points. A two-minute beach party leads directly into a 5-minute, epic instrumental piece featuring piano and strings. A sultry, jazz-laced tune gives way to a percussive island jam. In a style that is becoming signature, Trail Magic’s Justin Maurer and Taylor Zachry (formerly of Colorfeels) have produced another record (see Colorfeels’ Syzygy) that, in another life, could have just as easily been the soundtrack to a film. Non-Traditional Folk Songs is unique in that it was meant to be listened to as a whole, from start to finish, but each song also stands well on its own. Listen to the album now on Grooveshark.
